AGUA CALIENTE CAMPING CABINS X 8
Eight cabins for San Diego County Parks Department. These cabins were designed to fully meet California building, seismic and fire codes.

The entire process of manufacturing was managed using Merlin project management software. Building Information Modeling was used to create the building's parts, in order to parametrically test the building for fit.

From the model, architectural drawings are generated for permit and shop drawings for fabrication.

L.A. CABIN
One cabin for a private customer in the City of Los Angeles. Building Information Modeling was used to create the building's parts, in order to parametrically test the building for fit. This building fully meets current California building, seismic and fire codes.

The Building Information Model was created from an existing set of 2d drawings. Rather than creating built-in compliance into a design, I had to model to the specifications.

From that model, shop drawings are created for fabrication of the building.

THE WAREHOUSE
One custom building for a developer in Great Abacos, Bahamas. This building was designed to meet the Bahamian Building Code.

The entire process of manufacturing was managed using Merlin project management software. Building Information Modeling was used to create the building's parts, in order to parametrically test the building for fit.

LOFT CABINS X 2
Two cabins for a private customer in Potomac, Maryland. These cabins were designed to fully meet the Maryland Building Code.

The entire process of manufacturing was managed using Merlin project management software. Building Information Modeling was used to create the building's parts, in order to parametrically test the building for fit.

From the model, architectural drawings are generated for permit and shop drawings for fabrication.

CREW CABINS X 9
Nine cabins, in an order of eleven, for a private customer on a private island called Musha Cay in Exuma. 2d Cad drawings were used to create the building's parts. This was the last cabin manufactured at Cabin Fever, during my tenure, without parametrics.

This project proved that layering of materials is what benefited most from parametrics, especially with the close tolerances panelized construction demands.

2d Cad drawings did not allow for proper testing of diagrammatic assumptions of materials, which resulted in a slowdown in production and a higher-than-normal waste of materials.

THE GENERAL STORE
A design for the largest prefab building commissioned at Cabin Fever, from a developer in Great Abacos, Bahamas.

The building design never made it past engineering, but it was entirely ready to be put into production as depicted.

The BIM model and architectural drawings were a collaboration between myself and Mike Arnspiger at Cabin Fever.

POOL CABANA
A backyard structure for a private customer in Miami. The structure was designed to meet the Florida Building Code.

RC Engineering was the outside consultant, who engineered and drew the construction documents for permit. My duties were to coordinate the design and make certain that our manufacturing standards were met, during the design development phase.

ZIP CABIN
The Zip Cabin product offered by Cabin Fever needed a spec solution that would allow for rapid permitting by customers.

A Building Information Model was created, along with architectural sheets and engineering, in order to satisfy the requirements.

MIXED CABINS
A Zip Cabin was offered as a prize to a contest. A rendering and floor plan were generated. A cabin on the edge of Lake Michigan needed a color scheme (one of many). An event organizer for the America's Cup ordered two cabins (depicted rendering was sent with proposal).
